How to Have a Great Christmas Gathering

By John Bahley

So what are a few of the things that you have to have at your Christmas or holiday get-together this year? Always have several moose mugs at the party. If your celebrations are going to be memorable, there are a few things that you just need. Not surprisingly you need food and drink, however it absolutely must be a bit more complicated than that.

Now the question comes, are you going to serve a meal, or are you going to serve finger foods for light snacking. If you are going to serve a meal, I would suggest serving a turkey or Christmas ham with all of the fixings. But I am just a nostalgic kind of person. But keep this in mind with serving a meal. You must make sure that you have enough meat for everybody. And don't forget to make some pie too.

For lots of people, having a complicated meal is just not possible or even practical. Having a few nuts or some simple snacks is the best way to go. And in reality, your guests had probably rather have this type of food anyway. Finger foods will make your guests more comfortable and not feel so stuffy.

Here is something that you may not have thought of to have. Have a simple and easy cheese ball. Here is an easy recipe that will have your friends wondering where it came from.

All you need to do is get a eight ounce block of cream cheese and put some pepper jelly on it and serve it withe some toast or crackers. But remember to serve the cream cheese at room temperature or you won't be able to dip it with a cracker.

Here is an idea that is somewhere in between having a sit-down meal and finger foods. Have you ever heard of pigs in a blanket? All they are is mini smoked sausages that are wrapped in croissants. It couldn't be any simpler than that.
