Pokemon Fact

By Horis Jeffry

Why does Pokemon stay popular? To answer this question there seems to be a myriad of reasons. The main reason seems to be that there is a new audience every year. It is a trusted game. The latest versions released on 6th March 2011. Which are Pokemon Black and Pokemon white. This new audience is part of the reason Pokemon hasn't had to change much of its formula over the past decade and a half. Still, developer Game Freak has taken note of what fans want, and Pokemon Black and Pokemon White improve in ways that longtime fans have been begging for. While Pokemon appeals to a younger demographic, fans stay true because it's a really solid series of RPGs with a lot of depth.

The setting of the new game is slightly different and the city of Unovo, where the play is staged is a bit far from the region before. As part of the game you are required to move towards the anterior regions by plane or boat. The area is designed so that the City Castelia is full of large buildings and skyscrapers, and the rest of Unovo is industrialized with railways and factories.

First, the villains aren't dumbasses. They're the clich of an evil group of trainers, but this time they serve the plot of the game. From the very beginning of Black/White, the mysterious Team Plasma, and the Seven Sages drive the story. They also bring up concepts about the morality of Pokemon that are pretty heavy for the series. They're a constant presence, showing up in every town, stealing Pokemon, and confusing the protagonist's motivations. They're never hiding out in a dumb warehouse waiting for a kid to steal their key card or whatever.

It seems odd that a game such as Pokemon, that after anything is not all that dissimilar from a game like Dragon Ball or even Mario in some respects, would spawn such enormous popularity in terms of tv also toys. Dragon Ball admittedly does have a similar following, after all best of its merchandising has been confined to Japan as long as Pokemon has highly decidedly no longer in existence worldwide, with devoted fans of anything ages (a surprising lot of gamers and collectors in their 20's). With the result that what is dissimilar about Pokemon and what accounts for its success?

There are no familiar faces in Pokemon Black/White though. For the first time since Red/Blue, older Pokemon do not return (at least in the beginning). As you trek through the 40-some hours of the story mode, you'll see nothing but brand new Pokemon. This means that when you go into a cave, you won't see the same damn Zubat and Geodude you always see. Instead, there's some new guy named Roggenrola to catch. This is often awesome; seeing new Pokemon every few minutes recaptures that feeling of adventure the first game had.

The history of the game forces you to stop plasma team, a team who has the right intention as they want to stop the enslavement of Pokmon trainers as they perceive to enslave Pokemon. Pokemon Black and White have made some major changes in the game and the players will stay immersed in the game throughout the whole story.
