Time To Book The Party At The Horse Races

By Byron Jonas

Have a good laugh, enjoy a tipple and cheer your steed as it flies past the winning post. If this all sounds too good to be true then book the party at the horse races. Racing has a lot to offer, you could be a keen gambler who religiously follows form or maybe you only place a bet on the Derby once a year.

We all need to let our hair down from time to time and a soiree at a race track can provide some fun for everyone. The rip roaring ambiance on course is so exciting, winning may be the name of the game but losing is never as bad as it seems.

Racing attracts all sorts of people from all walks of life so you will be sure to see and meet plenty of new faces. In the ring there is always such a lot of activity which ensures that there is no time for boredom to kick in. Enjoying a day on racecourse with a group of friends is great and now courses throughout the country host stag and hen parties, weddings, civil ceremonies and corporate events.

If a gang of you are just going to hang out at a race course then you can relax in your jeans and t-shirts but top hats and tails could be warranted if you are going to attend a special party at the racecourse.

Wagering a bet can be tricky if you have never done it before so rely on the help of the well informed before filling in your betting slip. The course is filled with bookmakers and you can place your bet with an on course bookie or the tote.

It may be a first time visit for a few of the gang but the hardened racegoers can offer guidance, if your stallion comes first past the post then the drinks are on you but win or lose there is still plenty of fun to be had. The enthusiasm of the lively energetic cheering crowds will rub off and you will find yourself cheering along with the rest.

The bash at the horse races is not complete without a first class picnic. Take plenty of good food and fine wine to enjoy as you cheer your fillies past the finishing post. Make the party extra special and splash out on a few bottles of good vintage champagne to celebrate as you enjoy the afternoons racing.
