Writing A Wedding Speech

By Camilla Collien

Too many people think that it's way to hard to write a good wedding speech. This is not true. The best wedding speeches do obviously follow a certain pattern. However, it's perfectly achievable. In this article we're going to cover the points you need to take to write the best wedding speech possible. That being said, let's get right to it.

Before you do anything else, you need to change the perspective you have of writing a wedding speech. Stressing over it doesn't help. It isn't hard at all. Look at it as a fun challenge. What this helps you to do is give you a more relaxed perspective, which will help you write a better wedding speech.

The type of wedding speech doesn't matter all that much. Of course it matters for the content of the speech, but the layout should be the same. Start with a funny story. Begin with a quick story about the bride or groom.

Humor is important in your wedding speech. It's a good idea to make it funny. However, don't make it a big joke. However, you do need to give it a few fun points. A few quick jokes or fun stories. This will likely guarantee that the guests won't fall asleep during your wedding toasts. Everyone loves a funny wedding toast. A great skill to have is to make everyday moments funny. I say a it's a skill because, like anything else, it can be learned. Just keep practicing.

Thanking the right people in your toasts is important. Thanking those who have help you organize your wedding is a good idea. Those who have stood by your side. It's as important as anything else.

Keep the speech brief. A wedding speech shouldn't be a very long speech. Make it brief and to the point. Remember that the guests want to be entertained (they might not admit it, but this is what they like). A wedding speech can obviously be long, but then you really need to have your ability to make it funny at its very best.

Ending with a lovely comment is always nice. Comment on the brides beauty. Telling the groom that he's a lucky guy is a common choice as well. Ending your speech with a heart felt comment is the way to go. As you can see from these points, writing a wedding speech isn't at all that difficult. You simply have to know what you're doing.
