There are plenty of personalities that grace a funeral. These characters may be friends or family members of the dead but a funeral is not interesting without them. These people can make you cry not because of grief but because of happiness. The most prominent character in this group is the so-called weeping ladies that were employed to shed tears. They have to dry every one their tear glands to make their crying more convincing. There are even those who say that weeping ladies can bring good luck.
What's funny though is that after their stint, these weeping ladies can simply stop crying and you can witness them laughing already. Sometimes, they even share jokes with the family of the departed. There are also people who came to the wake not to grieve but to gobble or sleep. These people may be a remote pal or an acquaintance that just happens to have a sharp feeling for events like funerals.
Upon arriving, he will silently make his way to the food area, get something to eat and come back for more. After he has transferred much food in his stomach, he will go to a nice corner where he can sleep. He has done all of these without merely looking or offering a prayer to the deceased.
Of course, there are those who love sharing anecdotes about the deceased individual to the point that he has nothing left to share. When that happens, he would just chat with the people who have not listened to what he told. In some ways, they help the family members of the departed forget about the loss of their friend for a bit.
Lastly, there are those who can't stop commenting about everything in the funeral. These people always have a say about the flowers used, the picture of the departed, the food being served and even the casket being used. You have to question if they ever be pleased about anything. Sooner or later, that individual will tire out before the deceased awakens.
