Tom Ford Eyewear

By Abigail Webb

When you're on the market for an innovative and modern pair of designer sunglasses, you can't ignore the quality that comes with the Tom Ford brand. Combining modern and popular designs with a fashion-forward and classy approach, Tom Ford really excels in creating a whole host of sunglasses to suit any target audience. The "Rickie" design, one of the most recent additions to the Tom Ford range, encapsulates a whole host of designs which are associated with the modern woman.

Designed to give a connected and flowing feeling through the frame design, the delicate metal arms are wrapped around each other and crossed in the centre, just above the nose. The colours on the frame provide a good contrast as the inlay of the metal frame is a different colour to the outline and gives a good two-toned appearance to the design.

The cross over bridge gives added comfort to the wearer as it negates the need for metal bars to be placed above the nose. These metal bars have been replaced by a slim line, curved design which features two small nose pads which help to provide a good fit to the wearer.

The Tom Ford Rickie TF179 is a classic pair of oversized sunglasses and as such, offers a great range of sun protection to the wearer. Oversized sunglasses generally garner better sun protection than a regular pair of sunglasses due to the fact that they cover not only the key eye area, but also the delicate soft tissue that surrounds the eye and can frequently be burnt as the result of a lack of sunscreen.

The Tom Ford range provides 100% UV protection to the wearer and block out any UVA, UVB or blue light rays that try to pass through. In addition, the gradient style of many of the lenses in the range enable them to easily adapt to changing light conditions, meaning they can offer sun protection even when the sun is not very bright.
